Darryl Genis has been taking DUI cases to trial since before most of his clients were born. For almost 30 years he has answered “Ready for trial” in the courts of California. More than 300 jury trials later, Mr. Genis is ready to take your Ventura County case to trial.

Mr. Genis is a Specialist Member of the California DUI Lawyers Association and a Sustaining Member of the National College for DUI Defense. He attended the NCDD’s six-day DUI Course at Harvard Law School and has taught numerous seminars himself.

He is a recognized Instructor of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests as taught by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and he holds certifications in the Alco-Sensor IV, the Draeger 7410 (“EPAS”) and Intoxilyzer 5000 breath machines.

Just last year Mr. Genis served as Amicus Counsel in the landmark California Supreme Court case of People v. McNeill (2009) 8 Cal.2d 644. The unanimous Supreme Court agreed with Mr. Genis that motorists could use partition ratios to show how breath tests overstated blood alcohol levels.
